Thermal oil heated tanks incorporate internal heat transfer coils heated by the external thermal oil boiler and are ideal where electric supplies are limited or where gas or light oil are the fuel of choice.

Being easier for transportation and requiring usually only a single crane to install, horizontal hot oil heated asphalt tanks are generally the preferred tanks as the supporting equipment for asphalt mixing plant.

Tank Components

The equipment consists of 35 m3 horizontal tank, rock wool insulation layer, four transverse bases, heat conducting oil coil in tank, asphalt liquid level meter, asphalt thermometer, manhole, breathing hole, climbing ladder, asphalt import and export, heat conducting oil import and export, sewage outlet.

Features

1. Our storage silo are mounted on steel skids that bolt to concrete foundations.

2. Our storage tanks have serpentine heating coils, liquid asphalt in the tank is indirectly heated by hot thermal oil flowing through the coils.

3. A manhole is located in the top of each compartment. An access ladder is provided on the outside of the tank and inside each compartment. Each compartment also has a combination vent and overflow pipe.

4. An valve in the bottom of each compartment allows the tank to be completely drained.

5. All our tanks are covered with rock wool insulation, temperature drop is no more than 10% of the atmospheric temperature changes in 24 hours.
